I was born in Virginia and lived here until middle school. I spent a few years in California and then we moved to Michigan, where I graduated high school and went on to Michigan State University. I received my B.S. In Zoology in 1997 and then my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. I returned to Virginia to be near my family and worked in the Richmond area for 12 years before heading further north to Spotsylvania county.
I am committed to providing the highest level of patient care and customer service to those I serve. I have spent most of my career in AAHA accredited hospitals and I was medical director at a corporate practice for over 5 years. I am passionate about giving my patients the best possible care and will treat all your patients as if they were my own. I am confident with complex medicine cases, routine surgical procedures, dentistry (including radiology and extractions), and I also have basic ultrasound skills.
Outside of work my husband and I are active in our church, as members of the choir and Sunday school teachers for a fifth grade class. We have one dog “Banjo”, a border collie/chow mix, who is a certified therapy dog. We participate in a Paws for Reading program where we go to a school and local libraries so that kids can read to him. I also take him to hospitals and nursing homes so that he can get loved on by everyone he meets.
